Written for Sarah Jesus tender shepherd, hear me. We commit our child to Thee. Bless our little lamb and keep her In your care eternally. You who blessed the little children Gathered wee lambs in your arms, By your grace you hold and keep her Far away from Satan's harm. She'll no longer know life's sorrows Having left this world of sin, For her loving shepherd sought her And has safely brought her in. Lips of infants praise and bless Thee In your kingdom they will sing. For to such as these is given Life eternal in their King. Thou hast given and hast taken. Help us bow before thy will. Fix our hopes on things eternal That our hearts may bless you still. Oh may all our children bless thee, To your fold, Lord, bring them in. Lead them to the living water, Nevermore to thirst again.
