Where darkness reigned, God's Light has come
In Christ, God's everlasting Son.
God's truth and light shone forth in Him.
God's holy One who knew no sin.
The Light shines on the sons of men.
Though darkness cannot comprehend
The glory of the holy One.
The true Light of the world has come.
My eyes were blind; I could not see.
God's glorious truth eluded me.
Enslaved by Satan, dead in sin,
How great a darkness dwelt within.
The lamp of God shone in my soul.
Christ changed my heart and made me whole.
Freed from the power of the grave,
Christ gave me life; In Him I'm saved.
Once far from God, we lived in fear.
But now in Christ, we are brought near.
Transferred from darkness we have come
Into the Kingdom of God's Son.
Take up the armor of God's Light.
Against dark powers we must fight.
Christ triumphed o'er the evil one.
By His shed blood, we'll overcome.
